IIT Kanpur to provide collaboration opportunities to MSME training centres with HEIs #FinanceIndia #StockMarketNEWS
IIT Kanpur to provide collaboration opportunities to MSME training centres with HEIs Kanpur, Jun 22 (KNN) In a bid to make Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Self-reliant (Atmanirbhar), IIT Kanpur’s Unit of Educational Development, UNISED has decided to provide collaboration opportunities to MSME training centres with higher education institutions, IITs, and school education under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyaan.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has set up the RAA to make learning outside school easy and innovative with the use of technology.

On the other hand, UNISED has taken these initiatives forward by implementing activities like astronomy clubs, learning resource kits, teachers training and so on.

Rashtriya Avishkar Lab created by IIT Kanpur and UNISED has been imparting education to 180 schools in Kanpur and Auraiya District in Uttar Pradesh.

Notably, experts from trade and industry are of the view that MSMEs have to address technology issues if they want to be a part of the global value chain.

MSMEs have to focus on technology, improving productivity gains and upgrading the skill levels of its workforce so that they can join the global value chain, said experts at the MSME event organised by FICCI-Rajasthan in November last year.

Assam Kumar, General Secretary of Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan, agreeing with others views said that there is enough scope for enhancing productivity by thinking innovatively and uniquely.

Drawing attention to the evolving global trade situation, former president of Carpet Exporters Promotion Council Mahavir Sharma said that the MSMEs have to remain alert to the new situation.

India is a leader in technology but unlike big corporations, MSMEs are yet to deploy them and gain competitive edge. For competing on the global stage India has to take technology and productivity from low to high.
